Seeing as how a new chapter has begun, let's start afresh. We'll begin with this article (highlighted in the DB thread by Arregueti - or Jorge to his friends) from PistonHeads which seems to be a culmination of all the recent interviews. http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=30888

Spotted this this lunchtime. It was heading towards the A14 on the A45. It looked very good, but then I would say that as it used to be my car!

Only 3% water of the earth is fresh, rest 97% salted. Of that 3%, over 2% is frozen in ice sheets and glaciers. Means less than 1% fresh water is found in lakes, rivers and underground.

So a friend of mine popped round this morning to look at my new toy. He's a mechanic and part time British Super Bike pit technician. After a good peruse he raised one eyebrow and with a chuckle said "You should have bought the Astramax van!" In fairness I was part way through ripping out the degraded fuel breather hoses so she did look a bit worse for ware but he knew better. If anyone was wondering, I just bought the 93 press car which was used for several magazines and the infamous Clarkson V plumber episode of Top Gear where he coined the phrase Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious... what could possibly go wrong? erm...many things. She's a …

Well, its been a long wait since I sold my S2 to fund the purchase, (Feb/March) but my S1has finally arrived from the States. A bit rough looking paint wise and although a lot has been spent on it by previous owners (by the pile of invoices included in the sale) there are quite a few things to do (it is a Lotus after all!!) to get it on the road. Arrived absolutely filthy with some damage underneath, cracked rear bumper and a light lens broken which wasn't in the photos before it set off from the States. The guy that transported it up to Lancashire took some photos of the damage before he loaded it onto his transporter to aid in my claim. Im going to put a claim in to the…

Had to help my 80+ year old next door neighbours carry their black labrador to the vet yesterday. She's been limping for a couple of months with vet warnings of arthritis etc even though she was only 9 years old. She collapsed during a walk the day before. X ray under anesthetic revealed an aggressive tumour on her thighbone which had caused it to snap. She had her life ended whilst she was asleep. She was a lovely dog they rescued from a despicable farmer/breeder who just wanted rid of her after she had given him a few litters of puppies. She was 7 by then and very thin. She was such a gentle, friendly dog who never snapped or became aggressive or grumpy even tho…

Thought it might be helpful to the people reading the forum hunting for one of these awesome cars if we had a thread linking to anything new that has come up for sale, such is the apparent demand for the good ones. Maybe it'll give folks a chance to get in there quicker for cars they might not have otherwise spotted. Saw this one appear yesterday which I like with the yellow roof, but seems highly priced in the market even with the low mileage - http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/lotus/evora/lotus-evora-s-sport-racer-345hp/4738339

Hi guys. I am sure I am not the first in need of an additional set of wheels that would allow me to run a more road-friendly set of tires and then switch to a trackday set when needed. Being aware of what Komotec offers, is there a cheaper alternative out there? I don't think the ultimate low weight matters that much on the road, so I would be OK with wheels at least close to OEM weight, that look decent and won't crack in the first pothole they meet. Here are the OEM rims specs in case it helps someone when googling: F: 7.5Jx17 ET26, bore 65.1 mm, PCD 5x110 R: 10Jx18 ET32, bore 68.1mm, PCD 5x114.3 I checked Braid - they are the supplier to Komote…

Every project needs a good name! As a Project Manager I know how essential a good name is for a project to be successful. I've seen hundreds of projects and am convinced a good project name is essential for project success. Some project names are more creative like "All-IP", some predictive, like "Technology Refresh" or "DCC - Data Centre Consolidation" and some abstract like "NewCo". I've been amused to see several projects named "Phoenix" that have generally been set up after their predecessor project failed. Their successors were named Phoenix II more than once. So, without further ado let me introduce you to "BASIC INSTINCT, the Lotus Esprit V8 project…

Having cleared up the latest home reno program successfully by late May I have since put my head down and given great effort at moving forward the restoration of my S2. I feel it will be helpful to present here what evidence of the work I have, not only in the spirit of community but also to help me gauge the rate of progress. I can say this campaign demands rather more than most would anticipate as, though Lotus designed a truly lovely car in the Esprit, they could not have built it to endure such neglect as mine has seen without consequences. As I may have noted earlier the previous owner lived the life of Riley, freely trundling back and forth through the salted slush …

In the spirit of the Happy and the Unhappy threads, comes this one. I'll go first. Watching a car on the way home doing the ol' 'duck 'n weave' to get further along in the traffic. I just kept tootling along in the left hand lane and about three sets of traffic lights later, I came to a stop no less than four cars in front of him. Traffic lights. The great rush hour equaliser.

I'd like some honest opinions of how you find your Evora 400 and 410 suspension. Slow speed noise over potholes or similar is my interest. Does your GT sport suspension crash or knock? Does your Touring crash or knock? Anyone who has driven both care to comment on how they compare at slow speed? Thanks

https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/caterham/360632/new-caterham-project-v-pictures Headline:- Caterham is aiming for a kerbweight of 1,190kg. This relative lack of weight compared with many other EVs means the battery will provide a target range of 249 miles and feed a 268bhp rear-mounted motor for a projected 0-62mph time of 4.5 seconds. Rapid charging at up to 150kW means a 20 to 80 per cent top-up will take as little as 15 minutes As a family man with two daughters I owned an Evora as my daily back in the day. Used it everyday. Love a sports car as a daily. Wise man once said your best camera is the one you use everyday. Would love an Emira but doesn’t …

Does anyone know where I might find a red lens for my door open warning light on my 95 S4? I’ve checked the Hella part number hella 7R0121440 with no luck and can’t find anything in our parts cross-reference but I can’t imagine it’s a bespoke item SJ stock a white lensed replacement but with a cracked red lens id like to find an original if possible. I’ve tried and failed to repair it.
